Oil Sites
Oil sites are anomalies that have been determined to hold oil. This is an intermediate stage in which you will perform the preparation work to extract oil from the oil site.
Survey The Site
The first step is to survey the oil site. This is done through the details screen of one of your survey ships.
Surveying can take a couple up to 15 days, and at the end will yield information regarding the depth and size of the oil deposit.
The information attained will be needed to make the next decisions on what to do with the oil site.
In the image above, you would select either oil site or oil anomaly and select whichever needs to be performed. The ship will then perform the necessary work!
Above is a drill ship that is on a drilling site performing drilling.
Drill The Site
Once the site has been surveyed, you can send out a drill ship to drill the site.
Be sure that the drill ship can drill as deep as the deposit is!
If you are unsure how deep your drill ship can drill, it is visible in the marketplace.
Once a drillship has completed drilling to the appropriate depth, you will be ready to begin production of oil.
(Note: More steps and consumable supplies will be required in the future!)
