In general features get advanced by two-factors, one being popular demand, the second being how far behind it is from the front-running industries that are considered most completed.
“Red, White, Blue & Flagpole” System
We have adopted this new system to help easily identify for folks our update schedule for Entreprenauts. Alongside new feature development and bug fixing, we realize that there are now MANY MANY features out there, and that every feature deserves love because each Naut is unique and we don’t ever want them feeling like their favorite thing is neglected.
Under this system each feature that already exists in Nauts will see regular updates to continue to make that feature better and more in depth. In general a feature will either go into Red, white, or blue week, and will remain in that ‘cycle’ for 30 days. At the end of the cycle, it will cycle out into a holding bin until other features have had a chance at updates. This means that every 2-3 months you should see each feature get a couple weeks worth of updates. Some may be major like a revamp, others may be minor like QoL items, but regardless, you will see updates to each feature!
We are aiming to follow this cycle as closely as possible, and will only deviate when it is absolutely necessary so that we can maximize efficiency and get you guys both as much new, and as much updated stuff, as possible.
Note: Flagpole week is the final week of a given month, and is used for documentation and catchall items.
