Crabbing is a unique and fun career opportunity early on in Nauts, and if it’s something you enjoy, is easily something that can be done long term!
Crabbing 101
Important Tips
In order to be profitable, you should be returning to port with as much crab, and fuel, as possible! An empty hold and empty fuel tank will mean a loss!
The grid is 100x100, but choosing smaller numbers means a shorter distance. So try to start closer to port!
When dropping pots, try to drop all of them in 1-3 locations in larger quantities.
Pots should be checked 24-48 hours after dropping for optimal catch.
If you have a good catch, drop pots again.
When finding a new spot for pots, only move 1-2 grids at a time to save fuel!
Crab will keep in the live hold for ~ 3 weeks, so get a full hold before going to port!
