This page lists the very minimum setup needed to get started in the aerospace industry. It assumes that the player has no facilities currently, and does not have a source for rocket components.
Rocket Components can only be sold by Aerospace Companies, and can only be purchased by other aerospace companies, and ONLY if they are of sufficient research tier to use the item for sale. This means there is no ‘buying’ your way to a more advanced tier.
Launch Complex Requirements
1x Mission Control Center ($1.25b)
1x Launch Control Center ($650m)
1x Launch Pad ($350m)
1x Vehicle Assembly Building ($12.5b)

Notice: All 4 of the above listed buildings must be in the same city, which requires a minimum of 35 industrial and 60 commercial acres.
Production Building Requirements
Aerospace Factory ($200m)
Research Building Requirements
Research Facility - Small ($3.5m)
It is advised to get a larger facility, as Aerospace is one of the most intensive industries in regards to research!
Complex Modules
Comms Array (50m)
Non-Cryo Storage Small (10m)
Non-Cryo Tank Farm (50m)
Complex modules cannot be built until you have a complex. Creating a complex must be done by an aerospace company in the city they are building their complex buildings, and costs $100m.

As you can see, getting into Aerospace is not a half baked measure. A business should be thoroughly established and have a plan of action as well as the financial stability to handle the costs associated. These costs are just the ‘start’ of getting an Aerospace company. Further costs will include the cost of research, creating and doing research on prototypes, launches, and more. Another very important note on those further costs is that there is every possibility your first launch, or launches, could end in terrible failure meaning you get no repayment and gain little new knowledge. Be prepared before starting this perilous adventure!
