Aerospace Production

In order to begin production of components for Aerospace, you must have an Aerospace Factory, and you must have atleast 1 BPO or PBPO of the component you wish to build. All components for Aerospace require that you not only have the knowledge of how to do something, but a blueprint.
Producing a Prototype costs 2x materials and takes 2x the time of producing a locked BPO.
The Aerospace factory operates like any other factory, with a couple simple yet important key differences…
It cannot produce any item that has not been learned through research that also has a relevant BPO/PBPO.
Aerospace items are both labor and material intensive, meaning that it will generally not produce an entire unit or multiple units in an hour like other factories. It can take several hours, days or even weeks depending on the component complexity to get a single component. Plan for this!
Once you have enough components for a rocket, they will have to be assembled together at a VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) after you have designed the rocket you wish to build in your complex designer screen. All components will need to be at the same city as your VAB for construction to begin.
Rockets built at the VAB will sit in their bay at the VAB until they are taken to the pad for launch.
In order to assemble components into a finished rocket, you will need a vehicle assembly building. You will also need the requisite number of components as required by your finished ship design.
VAB’s can work on up to 3 rockets at one time.
The build time of the rocket is dependent on the number of components. More components means a longer build time.
A VAB has a set number of “Components” it can assemble at once, past this, you won’t be able to produce a rocket even if you have a line free.
VAB’s are able to be upgraded to be more efficient and assemble more components at once at the following practical knowledge levels….
